A Fine Dining Lodge in Cheltenham

Who are we?

It is sometimes a custom to give a Lodge a name that has some association with the meeting place.  The lodge originally met at the Moorend Park Hotel in Charlton Kings (long since demolished), which was also the meeting place of Seven Springs Lodge (Manor of Ashley’s mother lodge).  The Manor of Ashley was a historical name (dating from 1154) for Charlton Kings and so it was decided to adopt that name, the Lodge being consecrated on the 1st June 1963.  Due to the demolition of the original meeting venue, Manor of Ashley have been meeting at the Masonic Hall in Cheltenham since 1979.
The Lodge has a reputation as a Fine Dining Lodge, from its time at the Moorend Park Hotel, a tradition that is still proudly carried on.

What we do
We are sociable lodge and hold meetings from October to May, with December’s meeting being a ‘white table’ evening where partners and guests attend.  We also hold an annual skittles match against Sudeley Castle (our daughter lodge), a summer barbeque, and have recently started holding an annual bowls afternoon.  All these events help us to contribute to raising funds for our charitable contributions.

Why join us?
The Manor of Ashley has always been a small Lodge in terms of membership and we are fortunate in that it gives a great warmth and harmony.  New and longstanding members are able to cement the bond of friendship that personifies Freemasonry, and we guarantee a warm welcome to both new members and visitors alike. For more information, and news of events, the lodge website can be found via the link below.
